One fine, sunny morning my dad woke me up to say goodbye before he went to work. But before I heard the usual "See ya, buddy." I heard something a little different. "Ahhh!" he screamed. He picked me up with one hand (which was quite unusual) and took me to the bathroom. "Holy Guacamole, I'm a potato!" So he took me back to my room and let me lay there. Then he went to work.

A couple hours later when my mum woke up she thought it was quite unusual that a potato was lying where her son was supposed to be. So she picked me up and took me to the kitchen. "Hey! Where are you taking me! I'm your son! Not a potato." I screamed at her. She just shook her head and put me with all the other potatoes.

Suddenly I heard all the other potatoes talking. "So you're the new guy?" said another potato. "No I'm supposed to be a human!" "So are we, but every kid that lived in that room for more than six months gets turned into a vegetable. There have been turnips, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, bok choy and potatoes. I think someone's coming. Stay still and stop talking." Then my mum picked me up but then I fell out of her hand and started dropping to the floor. "Ahhh!" I screamed. Just as I hit the floor I woke up. It was all a dream.

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey, and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
"O lovely Pussy, O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!

Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind

As man's ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.

Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most freindship if feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.

Freeze, freeze thou bitter sky,
That does not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As a friend remembered not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most freindship if feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.

Homework Term 2 Week 6

I have been treading on leaves all day until I am autumn tired
Lord knows all the color and form of leaves I have trodden on and mired
Perhaps I have put forth too much strength or been too fierce from fear...
I have safely trodden underfoot the leaves of another year
All summer long they were overhead more lifted up than I
To come to their final place in earth they had to pass me by
All summer long I thought I heard them whispering under their breath
And when they came it seemed with a will to carry me with them to death
They spoke to the fugitive in my heart as if it were leaf to leaf
They tapped at my eyelids and touched my lips with an invitation to grief
But it was no reason I had to go because they had to go...
Now UP MY KNEE to keep atop another year of snow.

THRASS Writing

Fred was staying at a ski lodge when he opened the fridge and his police badge was there. He didn't want to judge himself for putting it there so he said that the person he had a grudge on put it there. He found them at the ledge of the mountain. When he got there they had started going down the mountain. The person Fred had a grudge on was getting close to him. Then they started throwing fudge at Fred. He had to dodge them when all of a sudden they were on the edge of a ski ramp. They flew up into the air and by the time Fred got to the lodge the person Fred had a grudge on was gone.

No orchard's the worse for the wintriest storm;
But one thing about it, it mustn't get warm.
"How often already you've had to be told,
Keep cold, young orchard. Good-bye and keep cold.

Poem

I saw spring with my heart today:
a small girl, skipping, came my way.
her Daddy's smile was on her face,
her petticoat dripped fresh-torn lace.
a bunch of yellow gold i spied
behind her back-oh woe betide!
fresh daffodils "for you" she said.
plucked from my neighbours flowerbed.

By Marcelle Pollington

I think it is about a girl skipping down the street.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And oft' is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd:
But thy eternal Summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wanderest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
